Even with the uptick in 964 prices $28K is too high for this car. I got a '94 a little over a year ago for $16K with a about $4K of PPI issues ID'd on a $20K asking. So an asking in low to mid $20's with negoitiating room based on PPI results would be in order.

yes but dealers get to sell at retail bc the buyer assumes the problems are taken care of. not that the wholesale/retail model really works on 20 year old cars anyway

actually, the opposite is probably true for a car of this nature. you would probably rather purchase from an individual who knows the history of the car, not some dealer who has had it on the lot for a week or 2

Rare, meh. It's a 964 plain and simple and not a very good example of one. Looks like it has had a hard life. There are so many better 964's out there for the same or less money.

Where is the car in Houston? Did not see a response on Victory, but would not mind making contact with the seller and looking at the car up close. Dealer priced cars will always be higher and most would prefer to sit on them rather than selling them if they typically resell these cars; may get a break if it's a one off sale. Bought my 1993 back in 09 for $17K with 85K miles and in overall good shape from an individual. Repairs per PPI are usually inclusive and some of the identified problems, although important are not critical and are not really bargaining issues.

Just spoke with one of the sellers and will try to run by later if time permits as they close around 5:00 PM and are not there over the weekend. If the car is green, then not sure why that blue car is in the ad and also, should the engine not be a 3.6L and not a 3.2L as stated in the ad? A view of their web site shows that they sell cars on consignment so these prices are going to be inflated as there is an "owner's asking price" and then a "whatever I can get" additional markup for the owners of these lots. Would not attempt to tell the buyer what to do, but why the fascination with this car at this price, plus shipping?

Thanks for all the responses. Yes its the car on Ebay, but I saw it on their own website before that. I was interested in it because it look like a good car. Since the PPI, I almost lost interest and apparently they have been offered $24500 for it already. I don't think it's worth more than 20K, but C2 manuals are not so easy to find. That said, I have done a bit more research today and emailed for further info on a few other cars all C2 Manual and lower miles and around the same price.
I am pissed off though that I wasted $400 on the PPi.
Biggles, I just had an email from him asking if i had asked someone to take a look for me. I will be interested to know your thoughts.
Opo, has seen and driven it, thought it not as bad as the PPI and photos made it appear.

Does anyone know of one for sale? or can give any websites where I can continue my research.

As Vagluv said, you expect that if a car is being sold via a dealer all the issues would have been taken care of.
From the photos on their website and Ebay, you would think its an almost perfect car.(for it's age that is)

The rotted tub floor is the biggest red flag for me. That really sucks and is not easy to repair even if you can get OEM replacement panels.

All the other stuff seems on par w/ a driver 964. Definitely not a mid $20k 964 however.

The color combo isn't particularly desireable. It's not bad at all, but it isn't maritime blue either.

Being a '94 is nice, but that doesn't make it special. Sure fewer '94s were made, but the car is hardly differentiated from a '90-93 car. It's not like it's a '94 3.6 Turbo car versus a 3.3 Turbo car.
