More prep for Spa
My 964 has been away having a minor restoration since Jan 7th, to fix all the rust, dodgy paint and water leaks and a couple of mechanical niggles. Ended up being a bare metal job, lots of filler to remove and a replacement bonnet, right hand wing/fender, left rear light box, and rear bumper support bar and iron work required.
I dropped into the bodyshop this morning (to drop off bonnet kindly donated by freedman) and sneaked a look at the car which is very is nearly done. Just a couple of bits of glass to go in and a final polish after 9e fit all the last little bits. 9e have some mechanical work then hopefully will be ready for the end of the week.
Looking very smart with new rubbers everywhere
Pictures soon
PS if you ever find yourself needing to transport a 911 bonnet we can confirm it will fit in the back of an Audi A3 ... just.... you need to go in through the passenger door, rear seats down, front seats laid back, head rests off, shifter in 1st, and it's pretty mm perfect, there's even a handy cut out in the centre console to slip the corner of the bonnet through as you swing it round and under the steering wheel, hats off to Audi that's what I call attention to detail!

Scary prospect! I did at least stop short of buying a new 964 specially for the trip though, which as you say some seem to have done... but I did buy a "back-up" car, sort of, just in case, and that's got a bit expensive
We need more info! You are certainly not absolved from being a spender either!
