Can anyone explain/post pics of how to swap the central locking cables from 964 internals to the 993 ones? Looks like they may unclip/slide off but mine are damn tight and I don't want to break them.....

Thanks in advance,

dylan

hi mate,

from what ive been told yes all the internals from the 964 rock and roll in to the 993 handle.

as of yet im not sure the benefits but I will see once the handles arrive at mine.

When coupled with aero mirrors swapping the handles makes a big difference to the lines of the 964

Simple enough to swap the internals.

Enjoy!

Just doing mine. Handles are being painted as we speak.
Just waiting for the snow to do one so I can pull the car out and strip the doors.

Its a great look on our cars and the painted handles are tactile and pleasant to touch.
The swap is easy and you can use the same key, just put the barrels back in the same order-make sure to watch for little clips that can fall down into the door panels when you are disassembling.....

Can anyone help - I'm confused?!

Do I need the internals or not? Or, is this all I need to get the job done (+gasket) and I can re-use everything else????????

Cheers, m

You need the trigger assembly with the chrome cover that inserts into the handle, you then swap the key barrel from your original handles to the 993 ones.

Yes! You need the internals, the chrome piece around the keyhole does not come with the handle... don't ask me how I know
