Default Wheel identification. What are these?

My new to me 1990 C4 has these 17" two piece wheels. The car was in Singapore until 1998 and NZ thereafter. I betting that they were on the car in Singapore.

The centers look like 944 Turbo "S" fitted to non matching inner and outer rims. Those 944T "S" centers are very strong

Wow, I've never seen those before. Very interesting.
I'm assuming any D90 (not just 944 T "S") can modded like this?

It would be interesting to see what type of markings the wheel center has on the backside. See if they are based on OEM wheels or not.

Good idea. I will take a closer look when I'm back from my overseas trip.

Dont think there's any modification here, these look like purpose built split rims in D90 style

Standard turbo S are one piece, so dont see modification as a possibility TBH

Dage is very plausible looking at their other styles. Are they a respected manufacturer? I want to take these out for a drivers day.

Yup - you were looking here right? http://www.wheel-******.com/forum/vi....php?f=7&t=107

Not sure that the outer looks the same as John's though. John's looks to have an extra step in the outer.

You have to love the Internet.

So these are very likely Dage aftermarket wheels where the centers have been cast and machined to look like D90s.

The resultant tyre sizes make it difficult to get chose track tyres and I'm not certain of their strength. I think I'll have some fun cleaning these up and leave the tyres on them for street driving, then get a set of newer wheels for track days.
