It's a scary one for sure. With that history, it seems they should be asking a lot less!

That being said, my primary interest is in track days and AX, so provided the frame is straight and a PPI shows the rest in good health, is there any reason not to make a super low offer?

OK, so salvage title. Then exported to Guam. Then back to the US with 20K off of the odometer.

What could possibly go wrong?

I would buy it for 12K.

A bit like: "The odometer reads just over 98,000 original miles"

I don't think so...

wow! is right - carfax is amazing. Wonder why we don't have it here ... hmmm.

Something tell me their approach is just to wait for a sucker* - be surprised if they sell it cheaper.

* no RL membership, carfax, ppi

1. specialty is not a place to buy p cars
2. it's been handled by my FAVORITE dealer. see my signature below. i would not touch it if they paid me $22,000
3. 964 is dime a dozen, find a good car. this is not a good car.
4. run, forrest, run.

And if that's not enough, the owner lives in France!

It's reassuring to know that it's had the 'cooling system checked' twice. I presume this involved a man standing behind the car with the lid up and making sure the fan was turning.

I think the OP knew from the start what was up...come on. Carfax says it all...the cars asking price is obviously too high for a salvage. Wait maybe that is the reason it has been sitting at this dealership for many months.

If you want the car make an offer to the seller that you are willing to pay...pretty easy.

Also, please dont tell me you only got a carfax when someone suggested it in the thread...that would be what ... very weak.
