Default engine stalling after chipped

I have a really serious stalling problem after the chip from steve w, tried to replace the DME relay, make sure the idle sensor is fitted tight but no chance.

but the car still stall when idling or driving at any rev.
dash board lights comes up and gone (stalled and restarted) when the car is moving.

very bad kangaroo petrol when try to accelerate.

the car was fine before chipping it, any clue on this mates?

PS. I don't think the chip is defective, however, I am quite worried about the engine will be harmed and gone

Try disconnecting the battery and clean the connections at battery terminals and cables

I made some changes and had a similar symptom. It ended up being my coils and was just a coincidence in timing.

but isn't it 964 got 2 coils? did you mean both coils are gone at the same time?

My shop diagnosed and replaced 1 coil, then there were issues again. My recommendation is to replace both at the same time.

1. how was the car before you inserted the chip?

2. are you sure there wasn't an adapter under the old chip which you forgot to remove? this caused my car to glitch and not start.

3. have you done a hammer adaptation? (although your problems sounds more serious than a hammer adapation, you still need to do it for a good idle).

4. i had similar problem caused by a few cracks in some solder joints when installing the chip in the 20yr old DME. took it to a TV repair guy and told him to check the solder joints and for $20 it was fixed.

plus obviously you need to do a bosch hammer system adaptation anytime you disconnect battery.

1) the car was fine before the chip, however it snowed quite a lot an hour after that.

2) I've read your old post and i don't have any adapter below the chip .

3) no I havn't tried to hammer it yet, don't have to right tool

4) I have no idea about it. it might be the last resort for me to follow this up...

Does your mechanic have a Hammer for a system adaptation?

If you think it's the chip, then remove it and reinstall the factory one.
If it runs fine, then you've discovered your problem.
