rennspeed front splitter installed with pics !
#16
Ok just got a response from Rennspeed (pretty impressive within 22mins of emailing).
Unit cost for the FS-964-03 two piece splitter - $175 (£110 ish) and no discount for 2 sets, thought i'd try.
Carriage (airmail 8-12days) - $48.50 (£30)
So not too bad given they are willing to package 2 sets together, which helps. If you fancy this Gaz let me know.

well i got them painted now.and i have them installed. this is what worked for me so maybe right maybe wrong but final product i am happy with and would say acceptable. I painted my valance guards red also to match car and splitter.
1. I started by using some 3m tape to temporarily hold the back lip that wraps into wheel fender this allowed me to pull away the splitter and do some filing to get rid of the high spot in fiberr glass and then place against bumper again repeatedly until i was happy with the fit and installed some rubber beading on whole top edge as i didn't want the fiberglass rubbing through paint on my bumper with vibrations.
2. I then went used another small piece of 3m double sided tape to hold other end of splitter in it's final place.
3. looked under the valance and scribed a line all along the edge of the splitter with wax pencil and made some alignment ticks to be able to place back in exact same spot
4. removed splitter and marked centre line of the 3 holes and made note of the measurmente from the scribed line to centre of hole.
5. reinstalled spitter using some small screws at the inside fender edge as i didn't think the 3m tape would be long term solution.Used some 3m tape at the other end to hold upwent under the car and with the splitter and alignment marks all back in same spot drilled a 3/16 hole with unibit and using 1"1/4 screws and the metal inserts from original screws fastened in place.I reused the metal washer inserts from original screws so the new screw didn't go through the fiberglass.
6. repeat for opposite side
Like i mentioned worked for me and i am happy with the install and look and so it is up to you if you choose to use same method.I didn't want to permanantely fasten the splitter to bumper as it would hinder future removal of valance and bumper. Good luck to you guys and cheers.
I will post pics of it as soon as i get a sunny day so it can be clearly viewed and graded

Well by the time I finished it was close to 10 pm and it was dark and after a couple hours in a cold garage I was ready to just come inside and warm up. I will take some pictures today when I get home from work and post them and I'll try and take some close ups.

As mentioned i got home and snapped some quick pics of the splitters installed. Feel free to critize what you see. I know may not be everybody's taste but i am quite happy with it. So i also painted the brake ducts guards red to match as the tinted signals still add some black to the front.

looking at this picture i think next thing i will do is remove the rocker panels and get the black painted red on the sides and rear bumper only cause i think the car would appear to be lower to ground if the body color extended that extra 2-3" down but that may have to wait till next winter along with the recarro seats.thinking i might go with the speeds as i still want full access to rear for the kids.
