Mine are the twin outlet. I went ahead and purchased the extra valance for the left side. It is primarily a track car now, so I want the performance (and great sound).

I mounted mine and I got it too close to the bumper, either too far up, or too far towards the front of the car, and proceeded to melt a hole in my newly painted valance. So be careful that the outlets are far enough back and away from the bumper. After adjustment, it is fine. Just need to do some touch up work.

I also received the dual outlet, however I wanted the option of using either or depending on noise level. I am still using my car on the road and occasionally take the lady for a night out. But really liked the option of just removing a clamp with the caped/plugged side and adding the other tip for more flow. However with the current muffler I have it is appearently not advisable and FVD has provided a note to that effect.

The FVD system has been advertised as being a versatile system either 2-in and 2-out, or a 2-in and 1-out, however FVD has recently changed this and the small plug/cap used to convert from one to another is no longer provided since the muffler has been reported having back pressure issues.

So in short if you wish to order the FVD system for use on a 2-in and 1-out you need to specify that configuration and FVD will send a different muffler than the 2-in and 2-out muffler, I believe the rest of the system remain the same.

I am sure Rhonda will shime in to confirm and/or clarify.

Hey Russ, you're fairly local, why not drop in for a before/after power and noise test? I get asked time and time again for recommendations regarding headers so it would be valuable to know if these work as claimed.

Hi Rhonda.

I am wondering about trying this setup with no cats for my 73 RSR recreation with a 964 3.8 litre RSR - alike engine.
It has a F model bumper back and a 930 body.

1. Do you know if it will fit?
2. I guess I will have to change the two outlet pipes, hence the bumper holes for the exhaust are around 75 cm from each other?
3. Did you ever measure the sound?
4. I have done a lot of research to find an exhaust maxing around 95dB and with sufficient flow. Doing this I have read about chambers/ceramic material/ crossflow inside the muffler etc. - so I am wondering how this is constructed inside?

Hope you will answer - as I am aegerly looking for a new exhaust system right now - doing 108dB these days with two straight mufflers.

Best regards

Knudsen

This was an amazing system until I went off backwards at Thunderhill this Spring. So it is mostly modern art now.

I need the muffler, and the cats. Does anybody have any they are looking to get rid of?

And of course the new systems use a completely different header system.
