I own both and love them equally just like my kids. The turbo is more a collectors car,
And great if you can afford the investment. The C2 gets more use and therefore more
Driving pleasure. No snobbery here but I do post turbo stuff on the other forum.Come over
All 964 fans are brothers.Maybe a few sisters out there too .

I haven't been posting much lately but I have both am not rich just lucky I guess and I like to wrench my own cars but find in many cases I have one of the best mechanics in the country nearby so I use them more than not lately.
BTW don't think just because it is a turbo it is better. It is a fantastic car and a thrill to drive but the interaction with the N/A cars is an entirely different experience and IMO what the true air cooled 911 experience is all about.

I have owned several 964s and turbos and believe it was the best platform ever built by Porsche
The 964 T is generally a fairly rare car. It is a 964 pushed to an extreme and was very expensive in its time. In 93-94 the 3.6T was the culmination of the model .
I think only about 408 were imported to the US .(Anthony can confirm the correct number)
Porsche was in deep financial trouble not selling many cars in a very weak economy. Salvation was the 993 intro which had reduced build costs.
Any way that reason aren't many so you don't see a lot of posts. Rest assured turbo owners know their car's DNA is a 964 for sure.

Revised numbers for US bound 1994 turbos now show that the Vin numbers are from 48061 through 48466 (the first 60 vin numbers were supposedly test mules) subtract the 39 flachbau turbo S's and the 17 package turbo S's that leaves a total of 350 stock turbo 3.6's imported to the US and Canada there were a number of cars that were sold to race teams but nobody knows how many or to whom and I have a list of roughly 60 vins that have either salvage titles or have gone to Porsche heaven. So there aren't many left.
