Bently's says Primary -negative and positive terminals 0.4-0.6
Secondary + terminal & center terminal 5.0-7.2.
I have had coils test within limits, but cause problems due to internal faults. So just because it tests within limits, doesn't men it's O.K.

The inductance of the primary should be around 3 or 4 mH and the secondary winding around 24 Henry's.

Check here for the data under "Typical Ignition Coil Values":

Years ago there was a very good thread in which Lorenz? (electrical guru) explained clearly how not to check the coils.. Truthfully I can't remember the solution but search, lots of good info.

i think coil failures are a result of failing ignition wires, bad caps and plugs. if the generated spark does not have a clear and efficient path to the plugs the coil will eventually break down and fail. how old are your caps, plugs and wires, we tend to think they are in better condition than they really are.
