Dontchya just love it?

Claudia will loose her red hair and become minty once we proceed with the wide body build.

I wonder how much he's asking. That car/color is stunning.

That is the ugliest Porsche color I've ever seen. Porsche went down a ridiculous road when they painted their cars clown colors.

The car is in extroidinary condition though.

^^ Different strokes. I happen to love all the pastel colors they offered. Riviera blue and Peppermint Green are my two favorites.

Clown colors huh? (hrumph!) You know I don't remember seeing mint green as a staple color for clowns... now RED on the other hand...

(the preceding was meant as a joke, any insults implied towards clowns or the clowning profession as a whole, was simply a side-benefit)

Surprised to see maritime blue seat belts and cushions. Standard issue on mint greens was triple grey with red seat belts.....for a reason;-)

Color is a personal thing for sure and beauty is in the eye of the beholder. However most Porsche Owner's don't buy one to be part of the herd! So you'll never see me in a Gaurds Red/Cashmere 964 that was dealer stock on the lot at all Porsche Centers when the 964 was new.

In my opinion the great 964 colors are the ones that we rarely see in this country:

Maritime Blue
Mint Green
Signal Green
Rubystone Red
Fly Yellow
Etc...

For those of us that would give our right arm to own one these colors 20 years later, it's a shame original owner's and dealer's didn't have the guts to order these "stock" colors at the time, probably because they were afraid of resale in our conservative society. It's ironic that on the very rare occassions any of these colors come up for sale now in this country, they are sold almost immediately at a premium.

On a side note; I allowed my ex wife to talk me out of a '93 Signal Green, with Black Interior 964 C2 Coupe that was for sale at Ooley & Blackburn, Indianaplois in 1998, becuase she thought the color was too outragious! The car had been purchased new by Dave Thomas of Wendy's fame, was immaculate with 30k miles and could have been had for $32k. I remember it took several months to sell the car. Looking back I still kick myself for being an idiot and not buying that car, the ex wife is long gone and forgotten, that beautiful car is not.
