Shocks

Makmov...yes...you are correct...the mounts have not been done!?...another Porsche buddy pointed out the same...my mechanic should have caught that!...The camber in the rear is -2.5; does this sound right? I have put a few hundred miles on the car since I got her back on thurs....wow! What a difference! I need to raise the rear end 1/2", upper shock mounts, and corner balance...done! this car now drives like a 964 should! Great investment!! Cheers!

Hey guys...thank you...I will look into changing the camber on Monday! What do you think it should be?
Makmov...I do not hear or feel any knocking...seems very tight! Which mounts did you use? I'm thinking I should stick with elephant racing sport hardness like my control arm bushings.??
Vandit...this is my "let's go have some fun on the twisty's car", but I try to keep her at 7/10ths...I don't need a life altering accident! I would like to get nice and even wear.
Thanks much for the information...it seems I need to guide my mechanic a bit!?

I used Porsche stock mounts.
If they are not making nosie they probably okay to use. You will know for sure when they align it. It is aligns proper without any strange numbers the mount is okay. However, I don't think you can quite get -1 or .5 camber lowered with the stock mount.

Ok now you guys have me thinking of possibly replacing springs also. Im ok with ride height and all that so at this point how much for a set of the H&R springs ? and since my springs have never been replaced should I also look into this? Thanks for the posts thus far.

you cannot get -2.5 in the rear with stock spring plate.
-2 neg camber is max in rear .... yes, i watched the alignment guy and tried to get more than -2 but no luck
my 180 treadwear tyres lasted about 4000miles with -2 neg camber in rear.

Which brake lines should I be going for with a 1990 C2? I am going to put on Bilstein HD's (B6's) and H&R Reds. Is there a standard brake line I should be using or any upgrades ¬ Disadvantages/advantages? Many thanks for your advice!

Front brake lines that go from the caliper to the flexable line must be removed and are usually frozen: the are likely the stock which expands after time and you just can't get them apart.
They are not terribly expensive from the dealer, or can be made up.

SML...yes...the rear camber numbers are -2.5 and -2.4 on the final printout...I am scratching my head here...I took the car back and the mechanic is going to do it all over again...in the 964 book by Adrian S., the specs for rear camber show 40 for a C2 and 45 for an RSA...I'm assuming that means .40 and .45... I would like to be at 45...Anyway, you can see the extreme camber from a few feet away. I've been told that there is not a lot of adjustment for the camber...? I also need to raise the rear 1/4 to 1/2" and hopefully this will help a little with the camber...? I wish I had a mechanic that only worked on 964's!!! BTW...my shop gave me an '04 Boxter as a loaner...I put almost 300 miles on it today; all in the mountains...5 speed...not an S...boy did I have some fun! I love the convertible, but I way prefer my 964 coupe "race car"!!! Like I said before, I am going to have the boys up in Portland do my corner balance...I'm sure they will set me straight!

No 5 is the stop which you will not need the fronts come with them. You will need the rear stops and dust covers though unless you are able to reuse the old ones.
It is No. 2. you can ck the rear if the rubber is okay they are probably ok. The front also has a bearing that the front wheel turn axis is on and it's the bearing that wears out and rattles.
