hi all,
haygeebaby(KEN):thx, its an expensive restore too man, you take the car for one thing, and end up with 10 jobs( well, at least in my case) i got all the carbon parts from Marcus Buehler, Germany, got his contact from reenlist, can forward it to you.. reliable, very professional and he can carbon fibre'ise almost anything, BUT at a price...

VR6er: yup i used them, i can't wait for the gauge to arrive too, first time i deal with them.

Smile update with pics.

Hi all,
this is the update..
rs door cards fitted today, speaker holder cracked..
heater blower delete installed
pins 8&12 delete on spoiler control module
lower dashboard fitted... what a difference, no more wires visible, and amuck more complete feel to the interior
airbag delete from rennline installed, backed it with an aluminum plate for looks.
carbon fibre, defroster panel, centre console, and rear view mirror being installed as i write.
brake proportioning valve delete done.
front bumper rs air intake with mesh grill installed
rear screen brake light and spoiler installed.

now waiting for the final polish, and my rev gauge (borrowed one from the garage(thx Alex) till mine arrives. car booked for protech paint protection on sunday. Rear seat delete is under process, unfortunately the free RSD i got came out of a convertible so to avoid the hideous spaces in the sides, i decided to re-do the wood and carpeting, and playing with the idea of a hidden woofer/ amp setup..
here are the pics.... feedback very welcome.

Lots of great projects going on here. These cars are so fun, make it your own!

Regarding your speaker - hidden woofer/amp set up...

I have recently seen two ideas that look interesting:

(from Speedhunters) ...stealth install putting a Kenwood powered sub under the passenger seat.

(webpage: http://www.speedhunters.com/2012/06/where-dreams-come-true-singer-vehicle-design/)

(from Germansportscars.net) Porsche fitted PORSCHE / BECKER stereo with special loudspeakers in resonace boxes behind the seats wer normaly are the rear seats. ( very clever made - not one signle hole was drilled and the door card were not damaged as usal done when stereo is fitted )/

thx 911jetta,
i saw that singer hidden speaker set up and started drooling...
but the porsche setup got my attention for sure, i was thinking of throwing the amp and the subwoofer in one of the rear seat delete compartments... hidden/stealth is the word swimming in my frontal lobe..

hi all,
thank you all for the kind inspiring words....
still waiting for the rev gauge..
i have a question : i upgraded the front calipers to big blacks(now blues..) carrera 4 / 4pots in the rear, and the brake proportioning valve was deleted.. i don't get that brake bite feel i was expecting..i have paged but compound all over..will i have to upgrade the master cylinder to a 993 turbo's? feedback appreciated..

i did scour the forum but its all personal preference..nothing definitive.. unless iv missed THE thread that clarifies this issue..

You need a 993 master cylinder and booster converted to fit your car. Not Turbo (theirs is totally different), just a 993 C2 set up. It's a bit of fooling around to get it all in there, but worthwhile. Do a search on it and you'll find what you need.
