project: restoration.. and a couple of goodies.. pic heavy
hi all,
its going to be a year now since i found my 91 c2 tip and have been slowly but surely getting all the little pieces together...
i noticed lately
a couple of bubbles in the front windscreen seal
uneven paint on the rear fender.. suggesting a respray was already done
suspension getting progressively stiffer in the front
steering makes ticking noises when turning stationary/in place
the rev counter woks sporadically/ couple of taps and its good2go..
so.. a paint job was inevitable.. and while she's in there.. might as well
get the following in:
pss10s
big blacks brake upgrade/ 965 rotors/ thx jeff curtis for the adapters and rsr p/v
carbon fibre bits/ thx rennlist/ thx marcus buehler
located a rear seat delete for free... yes for free..
new steering rack/ 3 attempts at remachining didn't seal it..
ordered steering rack brace/ thx rennlist/ thx chaoscreature
install later model dashboard/ thx rennlist/ thx onefstm
custom crest/ thx rennlist/ thx intrepidagent..
here are the pics, sorry they are posted in one go.. this job started on the 30th of may, times perfectly to coincide with a course I'm doing in vienna.. couldn't stay a whole month without driving her... so we parted (temporarily)

Carbon Marcus does incredible work. Never seen carbon storage bin lids before!
The coloured tach face looks nice too.
