Default Long shot, but does anyone have....

....a new or nearly new one of these?

94330707402 Oil Pipe

My C2 is sitting in the local OPC waiting for one on back order through Porsche (and Design911), both estimating that it will take a few weeks.....

Have a look on ebay.de search under 964 Ölleitung. Use google translate if you are having difficulty with the lingo.

Have you contacted a used parts dismantler? PartsHeaven or LA Dismantler?

FWIW I paid $20 to have some parts 'over nighted' from Porsche in Germany on a Monday. They arrived at my mechanic's mid-day that Friday.

+1

$15 or 20% of the cost of the parts, whichever is greater (that's what the dealer is billed by Porsche, anyway - how much they pass on to the customer is a different story...).

Go into your dealer and say you want your parts "V.O.R.'d". They should know what you mean. Overnight service if its in the states, "quick" service if its in Germany (technically it ships overnight, but starting the shipping process depends on how motivated and/or sober Matthias is in Stuttgart - dead serious that's the guy's name thats in charge of expedited deliveries at Zuffenhausen).

Sorry for the OT. I used to work in parts for Porsche in Pennsylvania and the little German idiosyncrasies are hilarious to me.

Out of interest, where does the pipe fit? I couldn't find that part number on PET.

Steve,

Apparently the part number above supercedes original part number: 943.307.074.01, that may help you find it?

Im told its a transmission hose, havent been up to the garage to take a look yet.

Thanks for all the suggestions, I've tried various routes suggested without any luck so far....

And now the sun is well and truly out

Thanks, found it now and see that it's a tiptronic oil cooling part. I would definitely go for a new one if in your situation. You could try giving Bert Gear of Berlyn Porsche services a call on 01271 866818. It isn't showing on his website but he has lots of parts tucked away and you might get lucky. Here's his website for your info:

FYI Bert (see above) says that this is a Porsche-only supplied part....he recommends getting one made from scratch. I guess I'll have to see if I can get more details of it, or take the old one into a hose manufacturer for reference
