Default MY DAUGHTERS FIRST PORSCHE

my daughter will be graduating from H.S. This month, so for her graduation present I bought her a 1992 coupe, it's grand prix white with cashmere interior and she's loving it so I taught I will share some pictures with the RL family

Dude, you're awesome. Hope you got a shotgun, and a slightly malnourished pitbull, though, 'cause the boys are gonna be all over her.

What a time in life to drive a 911. She'll remember it and appreciate it forever, if she's the kind of girl I bet she is to get a 964. Be my dad?

Edit: I see you're from Texas; I'm sure the 12 gauge pump is hanging over the door frame

Funny we're talking about a 20 year old car here. My '68 was 12 years old when I got it a couple of weeks after I was out of high school.

In any case, if she's got the enthusiasm it can lead to a lifetime of enjoyment with cars. I'm SO glad to have had mine young. Not that she'll get into the engine 3 months from now, like I had to, leading to the whole mechanic/racing/shop thing......... But I wouldn't trade my 18-28 years for really anything.

I sure hope your child doesn't lift after she realizes she is going too fast half way into a corner while showing her friends how cool her new car is.

First off, let me say what a great present that is, and you're obviously a loving, generous and well-meaning Dad.

OK, now that said, let me just say, in my opinion, this is not a great car choice for a girl right out of high school.

At her age, there is about a 100% chance she will probably have a fender bender of some sort over the next few years, most likely her fault. Hopefully it will be nothing major.

I wish you for your daughter many years of safe motoring, and if I were her Dad, I'd be wrapping her around a slow gutless SUV tank for the next few years while she gets some driving experience under her belt, and make that sweet Porsche her college graduation present instead, with track driving instruction thrown in as well when she graduates.

Just my 2 cents. Best of luck to you both
