Seat repairs
Bought the Dynamix kit, did the driver side seat today, took me 3 hours. Applied using a sponge. The colour is sightly different, no doubt due to 20 years of aging. Hence it took me longer as the whole front had to be covered thoroughly. Also repaired a couple of very small holes with the Dynamix putty.

Changed to 17 Cup 2s!!!
Wanted to see if it makes much difference... it does. Car feels so much better... in the end went for Cup2s as cheaper AND lighter than CUP1s. The car is more responsive, less tire noise, feels more balanced and agile. Love it. If you have 18s I would seriously consider changing back to 17s. Make a hell of a difference.
Car still pretty hard riding as on H&R reds, but it does ride a bit better.
Only thing is the new wheels dont look quite as good as the Veloces...but I do still like the look.
I'll be selling my Veloces if anyone is interested...

The cable that releases the hood has broken. I looked but don't have the emergency release cable. Very pissed off about this. Apparently a hole needs to be drilled in the floor to open it now. Porsche should have done a recall for this on the early cars without the emergency release.

That looks lovely!
Where in Putney are you? (I lived in Gwalior Road for a few years)...
...I also still have a garage in Putney if you're interested...it's empty enough for a 964

Little Jobs
Rear reflector was clacked and faded. Have recovered it and the rear lights. Not perfect but a big improvement. The film was £9 from Ebay and a little fiddly to fit. First clean and then spray with water with 2% washing up liquid, then remove the backing film and apply. I have read elsewhere that you need to sparay water on the other side too while pressing the film on but I found using a napkin over your fingers was better as the water obscures what is going on under the film (bubbles and so on). Then trim and pull off the protective film over the top.
Also repainted the blue piping on the seats. It was quite faded and made a real difference! And a pic of the car after a good wash!

After a wash.
Think the front wheels need spacers to fill out the arches better. May just space out front and not rear.. should improve under steer further, although it is already pretty good.
