My new 964!!
Ok, some of you will have been following my buying posts and now I finally have the car!
Quick recap, car was advertised as a Cat C repair but has in fact turned out to be a Cat D. Had the car inspected by a specialist who told me it is a really good car and that he would have bought it himself if he's had the cash. I paid £10K for it.. will have to spend a bit more to fix some minor oil leaks, service and sort out a very small rust bubble in the corner of the rear three quarters, just above the light. Also needs a new rear reflector panel. Drives really well, has been lowered and has the CUP(? are they?) wheels.
Picked up friday evening and drove 60 miles home, then another 30 miles yesterday. Love it. The car has such a particular character and feels hewn from rock. The interior I really like too, although the ergonomics are pretty awful.
Want to go out in it but I'm pretty hung over today so might have to wait till later..

Congratulations! What are your plans for the car? Are you going to keep it as is or do you have any planned mods? Also, how will you be using the car? Street, autocross, drivers ed, racing, concours, or other?

I might consider swapping back to some original wheels, these look great and according to the mechanic who drove it it still drives well. But I wonder if it will drive better with the originals? The car is also lowered.
For now just using for weekend blasts.. want to do a few things, like tidy up the leather, needs a service... very minor rust bubble.. and so on.

The wheels look like they're the same as mine 18" Veloce 3.6 Speedline reps.
I personally found the handling sharper on these than my 17" Cups - reduced profile got rid of tyre wobble. Although obviously the loss of profile results in a slightly less comfort.
Enjoy!

I've only used it so far on the 17's so cannot say unfortunately. I am planning on finding out how the 18's handle though. When there is a meet (as I am planning on coming along to one as soon as she's back from the bodyshop) we can put them side by side and see how much they differ
