Guys,

Thanks for the kind words.. I am pretty pleased with the car!

Going through the documentation have found out the following additional info:
- Car is lowered on HR Springs
- AMD chip
- Cup pipe
- Cat bypass pipe (?)
- Car had an RS Clutch conversion 30,000 miles ago. Does a clutch last approx this distance or more? the ppi flagged up that the bite point is high and that the clutch is heavy, saying that it will changing soon although not slipping. Is any of this due to the RS conversion or is it really just near the end of it's life?

Jobs to do:

1. Replace bonnet seal, this has been ordered, hoping to have it done this weekend
2. Deal with minor surface rust at front of battery tray (possibly due to leaking bonnet seal?)
3. Fix small chip in windscreen (have bought a resin kit)
4. Clean out ISV
5. Restore leather, seats are scuffed and worn. Have bought a restoration and recoloring kit from Dynamix. Will do when I have time
6. 12000 mile service at Project Nine in June, this will include fixing a few minor engine oil leaks pointed out in PPI
7. Replace rear reflector at some point
8. The sunroof needs fixing as one of the wires is snapped, have looked on RL but it seems a bit involved. Will leave this till last.

I will document as much of this as possible.. loving the Porsche ownership!!

I have driven a 964RS Club sport and was suprised how late the bite came in when moving off from lights.......easy to stall until you get used to it.

I've had my RS clutch in for about 30K miles too and it's still fine. It really depends on how it's been driven to how long it'll last. The pedal will get harder as it progressivly wears out, but I don't think the bite point should change much. It took me a while to get used to it too after fitting the RS clutch/lightweight flywheel.

I was under the impression that a hydraulic clutch didnt change bite point with wear?

There is a difference big in the spring strength of the accelerator between the RS and the C2/C4 which makes clutch / rev control easier in the RS. The C2/C4 have an extra spring, I think something to do with cruise control used or not. It is simple to remove the extra spring to achieve the lighter throttle.

Would love to see more pictures, my favourite colour, and what a cracking price! I bought my first 964 about 4 weeks ago, and have just had it serviced and a few oil leaks done at Project Nine, they're a nice bunch - very happy with their service.

Default Rust

Ok, so the only area so far where there is evidence of rust is the rear three quarters, I was aware of it. Had a dig today and was pleasantly surprised to see.... it is only surface rust!!!! good metal underneath!!! Pretty pleased, from the size of the bubbles I was sure the metal was at least holed.. Am going to clean it up, put some Hammerite anti rust undercoat and then just touch it up.
