Default One washer nozzle not functioning

I almost never use them so I have no idea how long I've had this problem but only one of my washed nozzles is working. I unplugged and switched them around to see if one was clogged or bad. The problem was definitely isolated to the driver’s side and both nozzles performed correctly on the passenger side. My first thought was that I had bad wiring on the driver’s side but after doing some research it looks like those electrical wires may be for heating? If so then I must have a clog somewhere.

Can anyone confirm if the electrical connection is in fact just for heating?

Thanks

Conection is for heating only.
Try a thin needle in the washer openings. Other parts might be clogged but start with the easy stuff.

Thanks for confirming. The actual nozzle is clear, I used it on the other side and it worked perfectly. Is the only other option a clog or could there be a pump issue somewhere. I would assume they both use the same pump but I can’t tell.

One pump at the washer bottle behind the left headlight. Hard to reach. Then a loooong tube in the fender, into the trunk, into 2 anti-reflux valves, into the nozzles. Provided you don't have the intensive washer, which doubles the tubing and valves.
After so many years, chances are good it all got gummed up. I just replaced everything in my car, a royal pain. But it finallyworks, like it never did before.

If one washer works, the pump is good. If the jets are clear, then the anti-reflux valves are the likely culprits

I agree with George, probably a valve.

I removed them when they failed, swoped them for sum pipe fittings from aquarium shop!

^^^^This, they do get blocked over time, and dependent on the screenwash used.

Yes, they are check valves so you get instant fluid when you hit the switch. They do fail and can be removed...just means a brief period of time to "prime" the lines if you haven't used the washer in a while. No biggie.

they also prevent the pressurisation of the intensive washer bottle,

my passenger side was also not working...it was the check valve, since i didnt have one I just took it out and connected the lines up with a vacuum line coupling to test..it worked fine, and the driver's side worked as well, so i never bought a replacement valve...they cost around $9 though so not a big expense

Basic question:

How do you pry off the nozzles?

Just pried my passenger side washer nozzle off as it quit working. It was a stuck/clogged check valve. To answer c didy's question, I pried slowly from the back of the nozzle using a rag to protect the paint and it finally popped off. I unstuck the valve but now it flows both ways. New check valves can be ordered for $4 with $3 shipping so I may just leave "unchecked" for now.

I had this. Traced my problem to a hose that had come loose close to the nozzle.
