Try pumping the clutch rapidly a few times using full strokes before attempting to shift into gear and see if there is any difference.

Shifting to 2nd, 3rd etc while in motion is a non issue. It's when sitting at a light or a stop sign and trying to engage 1st.
Must be a canadian thing, I have the same problem. As the driveline gets hot the disengagement point get closer to the floor and clutch seems to drag when fully depressed....pedal feel seems heavier as well. I have new master/slave/line/fluid(3 flushes with power bleeder and new ATE blue) and no change. Could the moving parts in the clutch assembly be binding as the car heats up? I have 25-30k miles and 10-15 DE days on the car.
