Default Forged OEM dish wheels - $50 OBO

I sold my 964 but still have the original set of dish wheels that were delivered on the car in 1989. These are 16" dish wheels that were available as a dealer installed option on early 964s. The original owner paid something like $3000 for them according to the sticker. They are chrome with painted crests. Their condition is okay: straight, but some issues with the finish. These are not the typical Design 90 wheels, but are the ones that are more commonly seen on 928s. They are the correct offset for the 964. I don't know what those offsets are, or if they will work on other Porsches. I just know they came from the factory for the 964. I believe that they are 8" in back in 6" in front. The tire on them are useless.

I don't want to ship these, show them, or do anything more than write this post. I just thought that, rather than toss them in the dumpster, I should see if someone wants them. The $50 price has to be paid in advance (paypal). Its meant just to prevent people from coming to look at them but not take them away.

If you are in Fairfield County CT and need a spare set of wheels, let me know.

PS: I wrote "OBO" because if there is more than one person interested, I'll let the price determine the result. I'll give this to this weekend to be resolved. If no one want them, they are trashed. If one person wants them, he gets them for $50. If more than one wants them, I'll see who is willing to pay the most.

As an aside. Don't sell you 964 if you have one. I already have sellers regret. The car was too perfect. So solid, reliable, classic.

Those are very light wheels and a steal at $50. Someone should jump on them.....

I use these as winter wheels. If they came in 9" they would be my summer wheels. Original equipment, forged and made by Fuchs. The perfect combination.

Interesting, I never knew it was anything other than d90s at launch and then cups later. Anyone have a picture?

Those are the ones, but mine were delivered chrome and have the multi-color painted crests. Here are some pics of similar wheels:

dont think bidding wars are allowed on for sale items on Rennlist. Better sell them before a mod deletes your post.

Maybe I'm missing something but wouldn't a bidding war actually have some bids? I just see a thread where some people have expressed interest and sent a pm.

Yes, $50 starting price! I don't think this one needs a GLWS.

You're my hero. I'd love to get a C4 and set it up for winter driving. Only problem is I do most of my snow driving in western PA (timeshare at 7 Springs ski resort), where there's so much salt on the ground it'd preserve a dead whale through the winter...
