Default 5720 parts available

My friend Gytis took some great pictures during his recent trip to Techno Classica Essen, thought you might find this one interesting.

Glad to see that lots of parts are available for our cars. Makes me wonder what parts are NLA for the 964?

According to Pelican, lots are NLA (but Vertex seems to find them...).

Yeah, not sure what is up with Pelican sometimes. Every NLA part listed on Pelican that I tried to get was able to get from Porsche.

I think Pelican just doesn't want to deal with SOP from Germany.

I am not sure I have personnally come across a part yet that was truely discontiuned from Porsche.

I wonder if they came up with those totals by sorting part numbers by the first 3 digits ("964", "911", "993", etc.). In which case the real number may be even higher, given the commonality of a lot of stuff.

I was wondering that myself. There are quite a few 911.XXX.XXX part No. for the 964 even some 944 and 928 No.

A lot of interior parts are, I've found. Just about anything mechanical/body is available though...

Good to know, but all the Motorsport parts are really out of stock. I knew this already, but some months ago I sent an email anyway to the Motorsport department in Weissach. I recieved a swift answer the day after "sorry no parts available for 964/993, but please try the classic department". I emailad the name I got there but he said the same thing. So nothing new there. So if you find Cup parts, buy them!

It's just me maybe, but....I think it's pretty cool to have emails in my inbox from both Weissach and Zuffenhausen starting with "Dear Mr Thorhuus"
