I am trying to fininsh the installation of my engine back into my car, and I have this breather hose that is puzzling me. Where does it go??
I believe its the skinny hose connected at the top of the oil tank (hose #41 on the diagram).
I started the car, I though a breather hose can't really hurt,.. but the car seam to run very rough and generate lots of smoke,...
Please any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

If that hose is around the throttle, it could be the "oil breather". It would connect to the top - back - center of the engine.

Thanks Lou but that aint it. The breather hose you mentioned is approx 3/4" to 1" in diam, the one I am refering to is only 3/8" to 1/2" in diam. and comes into the engine bay from the right side just above the fuel filter.
Please anyone,...I looked at the PET and bunch of diagram but just can't find this honse in the engine bay.

Just shooting in the dark if it is the airbox side ? Some cars have a secondary hose that goes to the air box on the rear by the rear lower clip.
Maybe it's that but I am just guessing.
