Default Driver's heated seat not working

What are the common faults to check for as my driver's seat heating is not working?

Try switching the relay (under the seat) with the pass. side, if so equipped. It seems the relay is often at fault. It is a rather expensive relay at that...

Before buying the relay, try holding the heated seat rocker switch the rocker switch up manually for a minute or two. If it the seat starts to get warm while forcing the switch up, most likely the relay. 928.618.521.03 about $250 IIRC.

It would suck to drop $250 on a (non-returnable) relay only to learn you have a broken heating element.

Also be aware the plastic connection between the seat and floor harness can get extremely brittle and easily crack when you pry it apart. Ask me how I know.

When cars have heated seats and people kneel on the seat as they are cleaning the passenger seat they kneel on the drivers the extra pressure acts like a stilleto heel effect on tiles and can cause heating element to fracture and thus no heat lol.

As i only have heated seating on the driver's seat i cannot swap the relay over with the passenger seat.
Also tried the switch trick of holding it in position but still no joy.
Might well be the heating pads, are these expensive and available separately?

The heating pads are stitched in the seat cover, major pain to remove. You can check them for continuity at the connections.
They cost a fortune to replace.

will do George, thanks for your help thus far
Would you know if the wiring is already there on the passenger side for a heated seat, like how the obc wiring is?

I don't know about the wiring being there. I'd say no.
I took completely apart 2 993 non sport heated seats to scavenge the heat and the lumbar supports for my sport seats. It was a MAJOR entreprise.

Wait, let me expand... The heated seats only need 12V under the seat, which there is. But in the seat itself, the heating setup is quite extensive.
