Default Center reflector variations: Part #160 vs #170?

Hello all,

I need to get some new tail lights and a rear center reflector as mine are badly cracked. The part numbers I found for the center reflectors are:

964-631-159-00 (Euro?)
964-631-160-00 (US)
964-631-170-00 (Japan? Would have thought it'd be RoW but it seems not)

Provided my car is an import from Japan (RoW), I'm wondering if anyone knows the difference between the Japanese (?) (170) and the US (160) center reflector and are they interchangeable (wiring etc.)? The US one is much easier to get.

Many thanks for any help.

the euro one would have rear fogs not sure on the japanese car.

The only thing I found was Japanese have reversed colors for turn and side markers.

Thanks Makmov. Not exactly sure what to make of that. I took a peek and I couldn't see the part number. I took a photo (sorry it's blurry). Does this look 'plug'n play' with the US one? Do new ones come pre-wired?

Thanks

Compared to that pic, the USDM piece would not have the center most light sockets.

Right on. So the back casing is different. Is it Euro (#159)? If I get the US one I suppose the outermost lights are the same and tape off the center most wires? Still not sure if I get the Japanese part number.

Thanks

The buckets are still there on the USDM piece, but an opening isn't cut out for the socket. You can open them up yourself and use some type of removable adhesive, like hot glue, to hold the sockets in place.

This is what many have done when they have installed 4th and 5th brakelights on USDM cars using the empty light buckets.

I cant recommend hot glue in that area...it gets hot enough back there to melt the glue, I used Hi Temp silicone (the red stuff)

it is just blank on the US one that is where the rear fog lamps go on the Euro car. Not present on the US car.

If you use "rotozip" and follow outline of opening the cut out will look exactly like original and the socket will install without any glue.
