mk1 golf doors, dont wanna get those muddled up

when you look at each piece its fairly easy to tell where it goes as everything has been so well laid out by Porsche

not had much time on the porsche but finally got some time today.

Got a trolley welded up for it to sit on and pushed it outside to degrease and presuure wash the underside.
Took a while but is almost spotless underneath now.
going in tomorrow to roll the rear arches, address any corrosion underneath then prep the underside, engine bay and front tub.
I'll then reseal/stonechip the underside ready to paint it on monday morning.
finally i can get some colour on it
still got a couple of bits to remove too

oh and a big thanks to alex for dropping in some engine tinshe isnt using, very generous and much appreciated

What a long day, one of those jobs that takes twice as long.
Lots of cleaning still had to be done, aswell as a bit of welding because of rust and broken studs.
all sealed up now with 3M sprayable sealer 08800

i taped up the tops as it always squeezes out the top, and you'll need this gun to spray it

all done and ready for paint early tomorrow morning

Great work - Must be good to see the project going forwards not backwards now, I'm really looking forward to seeing this one going back together.

Few more long days/late nights yet I reckon!!

Just noticed my engine carrier is bent/twisted at both ends, right side towards the back of the car and left side towards the front, is this common?
