Default Baltic blue C4 project ,painted page 13

After a long search i bought my first 911 on ebay on my birthday in July 2011.
1991 c4 with full history including original sale reciept
collected it a week later from yorkshire after giving it a good going over

I cut my teeth on porsches as did my apprentiship at a porsche ferrari bodyshop, i was there for 7 years before opening my own bodyshop three years ago.

First job was to sort a few bits of interior trim, handbrake, gearnob, both door card pockets and the b pillars, as all had quite a bit of wear.I also painted the horrific door speakers black but didnt take a pic.

fitted a new gearnob cap later

next was clear lenses

then my mirrors and vents turned up

next up a cup pipe

which came with a free cat, DIY decat needs to be done

40mm springs

had a vinyl cover made for the rear seats so my dog has a place to sit without me worrying lol

courtesy of Nski

how it stands at the minute

this is my goal though

hopefully repainting it when i get back from skiing in april

thanks for looking
Tom

It's always good to get the first few jobs done to make the car the way you like, looking good, those rear covers look like they are well made and fit well, where did you get them made, I think a few people here might be interested in them. Linen carpets are not easy to keep clean.

Great looking car , and a worthy goal !
That back seat cover came out great.
But that steering wheel looks like it is out of a 1989 964?

Cheers guys
And yeah I dislike the steering wheel. Want the leather 3 spoke with crest in the centre.

The cover was made from scratch by my trimmer.
It's lined with mohair for strength and so not to damage the seats.
www.ajtrimming.co.uk
He kept the patterns so can make them without the car there.

UK cars didnt have airbags, so thats the standard wheel for nearly all of them bar maybe a few very late ones as far as I recall

Nice report. What do you intend to use the car for?

Welcome to the world of 964 C4 ownership! I have the exact same car, although mine is a 1990. I bought a new RS steering wheel which was pricey, but does look a hell of a lot better than the original one of course. I'm sure you will enjoy owning and driving it. Look out for the North Wales Rennlist runs when a lot of 964 owners enjoy the great roads here. By the way, where is Stoke Poges? Southern England I'll bet? Cheers, Brian

Will do Dobson. Seem to go for quite a bit on eBay.
It's my daily I do have a couple of run abouts though. But I drive the Porsche as much as possible.

Will do. Roads in Wales are pretty good to be honest.
Stoke Poges is south Buckinghamshire.
