Bleeding C4 PDAS Locks using Durametrics
I've emailed the Durametrics folks to ask them if their Diagnostic Tool will bleed the PDAS. They responded that it would, but I'm a little unsure they understood what I was asking as I haven't been able to find in their documentation where it describes the procedure.
Has anyone used this software to bleed the C4 locks? I have the scantool software to do the fuel adaptation (Durametrics doesn't do it for sure) and would consider getting the Diagnostic Tool if I were sure it worked.
Thanks,
Dan

Hi Dan,
I bought, tested and returned the durametric cables. I tested both version 5 and 6 of the software.
I could get to the PDAS Lock bleed function and could hear the locks click when I connected to PDAS. I did not attempt to actually bleed. My mechanic could not connect to the PDAS module at all with his Pro cables and version 5. I had problems connecting to other modules like alarm and airbag. I returned the Durametric due to it's flakiness and got this little dutch wonder. Been very happy with this $700 Hammer clone. It was used last week to bleed my C4 locks.
I would have been perfectly happy with the scan tool if it supported the C4 lock bleed.

The dutch wonder it is for me as well. I will use it over the next few days as I finish the full hydraulic bleeding on my car

BUT, for the other guys (C2).. .don't forget the OBD1 Interface that Ricardo and I made... It uses Scantool software, and reliably does everything else except the locks for $269...

seriously, the Scantool software + OBD1 interface above is all the C2 owner will ever need. Very stable software and sturdy interface.
