I just found a set of leftover AP Car Design Carrera script in RED in my garage. If anybody wants it, please send me a PM. A small (tax deductible) donation to the American Cancer Society is all that's required. I will pay for shipping within the CONUS.

Getting a bit more mileage out of this one. By the way, love this car, the Rotiform wheels, and the photography (Paddy Mcgrath).

Hi all,

just discovered this topic as I'm also thinking of puttig the carrera striping on my 964.
Love the retro look and looking for a striping to go with the fuchs wheels and body color.

I have a slate greyy 964 and was leaning towards gold carrera striping. It look great on a black car and I think it wouls go great on slate grey. what are your thoughts?

Have not found a color code 615 yet -
Porsche color "Meteor Gray M7WC " looks pretty close - but very hard to tell from charts.
It is really a nice gray what ever the color number is!

Think Slate Grey Metallic is code D22, much darker than Meteor gray.
Older Porsche also had Slate gray (non metallic) which looks a lot different

This is my slate grey 964

Now I was wondering if gold stripings would fit the slate grey metallic.

I found these online and I think the gold will fit perfectly

Would appreciate the opinion of you guys

Looking at the colors and what was available believe it may be a non- metallic slate gray color code L6601 from 1969. My paint code source does not reflect Porsche colors prior to
1968. The slate gray sample car looks darker - could just be light. Think there is a car at the PNA museum that may be this color. Will see if I can get code.

Stefan - what is your color code - I have a metallic slate gray - the color I am looking for is a non-metallic.
