carrera side stripes
#271
Kind of a finicky comment, but I note very few 964 owners run the stripe from one wheel arch all the way across to the other. I think it's that rear corner trim piece that must be hard to properly line the sticker up with, as they seem to end ahead of it, on the steel and not across the plastic.
I just ordered a set and am going to try to install all the way. Seems more complete to me.

Utah, thanks for your kindness. Here are a couple of pictures of the car with the hard top on. One is side on, the other has a little elevation. Look at these and let me know if you need a better angle. There is no glass in the windows on the top.
The colors I was considering are:
Slate gray - car color
Porsche Yellow -
Black
any other ideas???

White 964 with Gold LMs.
Dear Utah - I have white 964 with gold LMs.. was wondering if you can give any ideas on side stripes instead of usual Carrera.... Actually love your "964 decal" on the black rendering... many thanks in advance.

Sits perfectly. Not too low in the front (relative to the rear) like a lot of cars

Hmm, some very tempting things going on in this thread.
While I've always preferred my cars to be on the stock/original side of things, I've definitely been wondering how a guards red 964 could look with the classic Porsche stripe. So I took vagluvs photo (hope that's ok!) and photoshopped a few versions myself. I'm sure the sizing is a little sloppy, but at least it gives a decent idea of how that could look.
Let's try it with Cup 1s and extend the stripe to the front:
and what the hell, with some Twists:

Utah, great photoshops which are really helpful to visualise things. First post here but would you mind doing me a favour and assist with the following?
1/ black car, black wheels with orange letters and the orange stripe that does not extend outside the middle of the car - not on front or rear bumper?
2/ same as above but with gold letters
3/ same as above but with viper or signal green letters?
4/ Finally an oddball one and don't worry if its too much hassle. I would love to see the same car with the black wheels but with no side sticker and the car done in this rather lovely blue as the attached pic. It is a Ferrari vintage colour called Blu Scozia (Scottish Blue) that was on the famous car that Stirling Moss drove to several victories. I can't decide between a flat blue and black for a potential project and this would be most helpful!
Many thanks and appreciate your kind assistance
