Default Any recent experiences with FVD or Schnell Primary Bypass Pipe?

I've been looking for a cup pipe for my 964 and came across both makes at what seem to be reasonable prices:

FVD for $197
http://shop.fvd.de/us/en/Porsche-0/9...stable%60.html

Schnell (from Vertex in FL) for $214
http://www.vertexauto.com/ShowItem/2...#ItemNotes1Div

What's the benefit of the two-piece FVD approach? Any downsides?

TIA for your recent findings,

Phil

I have bought a few things from FVD (but never a cup pipe) and have always been impressed - I have never bought any Schnell stuff.

I have a Schnell primary and cat bypass. Got a package deal from Vertex. No complaints. Nice sound, fit and finish.

Laker, can I ask how the primary and cat bypass affected performance? Sound not too obnoxious? I'm considering the same setup. Sorry for the thread hi jack.

Thanks for your inputs guys. Called Sid @ Vertex today to ask about the Schnell pipe. Money-back satisfaction guarantee on Schnell products and the price has dropped to $187. Should receive it mid next week!!

FWIW, Back in Feb., I saw two Vertex auctions on EBay. Primary and cat bypasses.
Since they were both free shipping, I emailed and asked them if anything else could come off since they were going to the same address. We did the pair offline for $450 shipped.
The sound is loud compared to stock, and I rarely pass 2k rpm in the neighborhood, so yes it is significantly louder. Does it have a nice sound? It's basically two empty pipes, so it's gonna be loud, as long as there is no drone, you win. I like the sound, just wish there was a mute switch for driving locally. After a while, you get accustomed to the louder sound and don't really care about the neighbors. Going in a tunnel or beneath an underpass however, quickly reminds you what you have gotten yourself into.
