Default Tire size for 17" Boxster twists

Ok, I've searched the forum and I can't seem to find the answer. I'm getting ready to buy some Boxster OEM 17 " twist wheels, 7" front and 8.5" rear. I assume they will fit w/ no issues. Anyone know what the correct tire size is for 92 C2 coupe? I think I want to stay with the correct rolling diameter, but if there are options to consider...

thanks in advance...

Exactly the same as 964 17 inch wheels i.e. 205/50 at the front and 255/40 at the rear.

...or move up to a 225/45 up front, a common thing to do.

I Agree with both my fellow Rennlisters, rears: 255/40x17 front either 205/50x17 or 225/45x17

I ran 17" Boxster twist rims (7 ET 55 and 8.5 ET 50) for years, on the street and track.

I used 225/45/17 and 255/40/17 tires spaced 5mm on the front and 7 mm on the rear (longer studs front and rear for safety).

I had no rubbing issues once I got this setup figured out and no ABS/traction control errors based on tire circumference.

People seem to rave about the new Pilot SuperSports but I have not tried them extensively myself yet.

I'd love to try these too but they're not available over here in 17 inch.
