1992 Roadster
Am I missing something...or is this the deal of the year ?
1992 Roadster
Not a fan of the colors, but seems like these are usually mid 30's minimum. 2 for sale on Autotrader for 39.9k and 46k (as i recall)
No affilication whatsoever....just thought I'd throw it out there.

Something isn't 'right' - lots of body panel gap issues, (hood, BUMPER, front undertray, doors - look how they use rubber edging strips to visually close the gap between the rear edge of door and quarter panel). non-correct wheels, wood grain interior (I'm thinking it's not original...could be wrong)
Something doesn't add up. Plus, its coming from LAPD, and a lien was reported on the title this year without the car actually being sold. Fishy smelling to me.

Where did you see its coming from LAPD ?
They have 2 offers in just a bit over 100 views......If I lived in CA, I'd be there in the AM to take a closer look. Wheels, gaps don't seem like that big of a deal and I think the woodgrain is standard.
I do agree, it seems 'fishy'

PET 7 confirms it as a C2 TL (turbolook)
woodgrain would be a special order for the car, most of the WTL's were ordered with full leather & special orders were full leather to match exterior paint.
speaking of woodgrain from the pics it appears damaged in 2 spots above the speedometer....not a great sign.
be interesting to have a full pic of left rear 1/4 panel & bumper.

As far as I have been told there were only 9 made in 1992 with the "root wood" interior as a special order option; thats pretty cool. I have the near identical Porsche but with black leather and no heat in the seats and the factory wheels still. Never a big fan of getting cars from a salvage yard but if PPI checks out who cares!

It is indeed an America Roadster, but it certainly is very rough and has issues. LA Dismantler (the seller) knows what these cars/parts are worth and I think they would have priced it accordingly, if not a bit on the higher side to leave some wiggle room.

I'm just looking at the big gaps as evidence of possible prior bodywork/unreported damage.
