Default Driver's Door Window Rattle

The window on my driver's door has an annoying rattle/buzz while driving.

It only occurs when the window is fully up. If I lower the window with the smallest possible touch of the button so that it moves just about imperceptibly, the rattle/buzz goes away.

I've had the door card off two, or three times in the past six months trying to diagnose the problem, but to no avail.

Any ideas what this could be?

I know it's a stretch, but it's getting cooler in these parts and I'm going to have to start putting the windows up!

Any thoughts appreciated.

Thanks,
Dave

Same thing happened to mine on the drivers side and it was a loud rattle. Thought it was the rod that was for the door lock pin bouncing up and down. Took the door panel off (which was really easy), tightened everything up and made sure nothing was in the door bouncing around. I then drove the car around for about 2-3 days with it off to make sure it was gone and it seemed to be. Since then havent had any rattles. Sorry if this doesn't help but I'd recommend just taking off the panel first to see if you can diagnose.

It could be a worn window mechnism?

I'm starting to think this might be it.
When I open the window just a touch the rattle stops, but in short order the window drops about a quarter of an inch leaving a gap.

Any one know what kind of a job out is to pull the window and mechanism?

Are replacements available?

I guess I'm going back in, again.

Thanks

I had the exact same issue, it drove me crazy. It's been several years since I fixed it so I don't recall exactly, but from what I remember...the track that's attached to the bottom of the glass is slightly adjustable. Just loosen the bolt and move the track (it's like a 1/4 inch adjustment or less), and it tightens things up...rattle will be gone. Sorry I couldn't be more specific, it has just been a long time, it should be pretty obvious when you look at it, if I figured it out, anyone can. Window still works and seals properly BTW...good luck
