Some finishing pics now that I've put some speakers in, to show how the black door cards work with the rest of the interior.
P.s. For those interested in the weight saving that is achieved by this mod, I weighed the panels:
Standard panel (without woofer) = 4 Kg
RS panel (before adding new speaker) = 1.5 Kg

Nice work Steve. Sounds like a great tip from Thomas, too.
Another thread saved to favourites ....
Thanks guys ~
PS Did you use Southbound mounts (rather than Recaro) mounts for your P/P ? Do they (S/bound mounts) offer height adjustment or was there another issue that made them a better choice ? (ie dosh)

Yes Southbound's side mounts. They also supplied the recaro sliders with extra holes ready drilled so that they fit directly to a 964. The side mounts have three holes at the front so that you can set the angle of your seat to suit you. The mounts have been specifically designed by Southbound so that the PP sits as low as possible to maximse headroom (or so they tell me). They also have nuts welded in the side to put the seat belt receiver in. I found by using a longer bolt the receiver could be positioned so that it poked through the hole in the seat so that the standard seat belt fitted snuggly across my lap.
