They are from a C4 widebody, so I am assuming they're real

I am most likely going to be changing my suspension set up and selling the wheels soon. Already have a different set of wheels built for the car, but still undecided with what suspension to run. I want something slightly stiffer than the H&R coilovers I have on now.

Nice to see someone else run a 11'' wheel in back

what tire size do u run, i've got 265/35 on mine, running 8mm spacer so total offset is 37

Tire widths vary so much in the back, from manufacturer to manufacturer, it's kind of a moot point. I think I've ran tires between 255 and 275. Some are afraid to run 18" wheels, since they didn't come like that from the factory. I did it on other cars, I didn't see why it wouldn't work on this one

I recently updated the suspension on my '90 with Bilstein HD's & H&R reds. Ride height is 128mm in the front, pretty much in line with Euro Carrera RS settings (125mm +/- 5mm). The car drives great but visually still seems a little high. It could be the 16" D-90 wheels.

Here are before and after shots:

That does look a little high, but i'm used to seeing an RS on 17" mag Cups and your car is wearing 16" D90's, so that could be a factor?

Has the suspension had time to fully settle as it will drop down lower?

use this ... http://www.rimsntires.com/specs.jsp ... to measure the diameter of the tyres .... compared to say my 265/35 rear and 235/40 front?

It took time to grow on me but this is just the best set up.

It just looks right, classic car, classic Cups, Bilstein HD w H&Rs.

Hi Chris, SML and, Makmov,

Thanks for your replies gents!

Chris, how long does it take for the suspension to settle? I've put about 150 miles on the car since having the work done.

SML, your set up (based on a 7" ET 55 Cup I wheel) on the front gives a total height of 24.4" (620mm) and a contact patch that is 9.3" (235mm) wide.

The 16" D-90 with stock 205/55/16 tires measures 24.9" (632mm) with a contact patch of 8.1" (205mm).

If I visualize the effect properly, the difference in height is 0.5" (12.7mm) and would be split equally between top and bottom (if you ignore gravity) so this would drop the car by 0.25" (6.35mm). Here is where it gets harder to imagine, but I think that the overall effect would be similar for either set up.

Makmov, your car is set up with Cup I's. Do you know the front ride height? Your car looks great, and the front ride height seems similar to mine.

I have a set of Cup I's but will not mount them on the car until it's time to replace my current tires.

Thanks again!
