I want black. I am going to pass on it and recover a prototipo thicker and black suede. I just need to find a decent shop that won't charge me 3 times the wheel.

I know this may be a bit off topic but does anyone here use or know of any steering wheels with airbag that is available in the states?

Love the prototipo but it is thin. Magnus version is thicker. Never seen it but sounds about right. The only problem is I'd like one with suede.
Any recommendations where to recover a prototipo little thicker with suede?
I'm thinking prototipo because I'm 6'4" and don't need the wheel closer to me.
I know I'm being to picky. What can I do I'm a perfectionist.
Problem with the Alcantara or the fake suede that is used on these cars is the material does not hold up on steering wheels. The GT3's have this problem with their wheels and my momo wheel I use on my track car is beginning to show signs of wear after only a short period of driving.

Atiwe and Raid are the main airbag manufacturers of the wheels you have seen here and on ruf, tech art and other cars.

They are very nice and quality is top notch but they are pricey.

True. My 997TT came with a factory alcantara wheel which at 30K miles was starting to look ragged. Same for the shifter. So on my GT3 I ordered leather pieces and removed the original alcantara parts and put them in a box.

I have a Mod 07 wheel ready to put in the 964, in leather. Alcantara looks nice but wears poorly.

You're going bagless? I like having the air bag for a street car. I have seen these tubs take 70 MPH head to head impacts and they do take a beating but I couldn't imagine not having a cushion or are you doing harnesses?

The Mod 07 is nice.

I've tried:
- 930S wheel
- Momo Mod.07
- Magnus Walker's new wheel.

...click here for more pics of the MW wheel...

930S
- loved the thickness and weight, didn't like the position and the awkward shape and fitment of the horn pad.

Sorry for the crappy shot, I didn't take many...

Magnus Walker Wheel:

Mod.07
Love the dish and rally-look, didn't like the narrowness of the grip.
