More than likely it is a wheel sensor that is the culprit for the ABS issue. A hundred bucks and a half a day and likely it's fixed.

I figure with the small things that need attention, 22k sounds a little more fair

I like the rear spoiler! Its like the rear spoiler you get on a 964 C4 RS.

Great looking car price seems to be in the right area. Lots of people just see a nice car and don't realize what goes into them that is what makes everyone here so great we share the same love of these cars. Stick to your price don't let anyone lowball you. As bear claw stated the more you sell for the more ours are worth and hold value lol and I'm sure us 964 owners don't mind our cars going up in value. So hang in there the car will sell. GLWS.

I agree, with the rebuild it should pull close to your asking price.

That's a sweet looking 964 you have for sale.

FWIW, as a datapoint, I just bought my for $19.5k with 80k miles, but had to have it shipped from NC so that was another $1.5k and when it showed up the engine required an immediate $3k of mechanical work plus I'm due for new wheels and tires. The interior of mine is not in near as good of condition (although I've been pouring TLC in and it gets better by the day) and I'm also rocking the old blaupunkt stereo... which is cool since it's original but the sound is terrible.

All that to say I think you're asking a fair starting price (the final price will always be a negotiation ). Unfortunately this turmoil in the financial markets isn't going to help your case any...

I'm in the Bay Area myself and looking for someone to replace my stereo and speakers. Would you recommend whoever it was you went with that did the work on your center console?

Thanks,
Andrew

What a bummer, you could have had my car for the price you paid to have yours. Only with my car, your would have had a rebuilt engine, new clutch, up-to-date stereo and good tires.

Either way, congrats on the purchase. It makes my head spin that you had a car shipped from NC when there was a great one waiting for your right here around home. Just our luck I guess.

I went to this little shop called Sound and Alarm in Daly City. They are fairly priced and back up their work. The owners name is Hussein (I know, I know Lol) But he's a cool guy. Just make sure you haggle. He's pretty up tight at first, but the more you are willing to have done, the more he will come down in price.

Thanks for the sound system recommendation.

I think the best line is that every sorted 964 will be 25K. One way or theother. Some will prefer to buy really cheap and enjoy bringing it up to the wanted level of perfection (like I am doing), others will want it fully sorted and drive ready.

As everyone has an opinion, here's mine: get the ABS done. Then it will sell at 25. Anyone really wanting a 964 must have a possible rebuild in the back of the mind. With your car, that hurdle is already behind.

+1
...and the sunroof. Some won't intend to use it and therefore won't care, but many will, and a sunroof that can't open is just a hole in the top that shouldn't be there. Stuff like that just gives people wiggle room to start haggling you down.

Nice car. I have the same wheels on mine and was thinking of having them painted gold, although slightly darker than yours. My car is slate gray but I think it would look good.

Anyway, good luck with the sale and don't be beaten down on price too much. I would agree with the other who have recommended that you fix up the little things that need to be done.

the color I used is the one on the STI, its by Grimmspeed ...

I'm not really in a hurry to sell. It would be nice because I could use the cash and the car is just sitting around right now. I dont have the time to enjoy it.

Someone is going to get a great car that gets a lot of attention.
