Default America Roadster/proper introduction...

Been here for a while and have been lacking in photos for a proper introduction of my Porsche. Just quick recap on me: Fell in love with Porsches when I was given my first Porsche as a child; a whale tail targa "pull back racer"; I was hooked! I have longed for a Porsche for 30 years since then but could never justify it. I started looking for "just the right car" about 4 years ago and in just a short 2.5 or so years later this is what came to me.
Here is the treasure I found, the 1992 America Roadster 964... had it for a little over a 18 months and I gotta say I am really enjoying it!!!!" Thanks for the help on PPI, the little issues, and all the DIY tips to all the great Rennlisters.

Oh, you should have gone for one that was not in such beautiful, perfect looking condition (or so it appears from your pics). You probably would have been less concerned about wringing it out and experiencing the limits of these great cars. Then you could have gone for the garage queen.

Beautiful car. Have fun and good luck with the new car.

ha,ha! Yea I am a little over carefull with it but I did buy it so I could drive it. Not the car for the track but it sure is fun to rip around in... then put it back in the garage and polish it again; and yes I still stand there and just look at it way more than I should admit.

Beautiful car. The dash is striking. I haven't seen one like that before, very nice.

Thanks Rob; it is the first and only Porsche I have seen with this dash option( rootwood? ). I am not sure how many were made like this, not that it really matters. After looking at so many Porsches when my Wife saw the interior she said "this is the best looking Porsche I have ever seen" I negotiated the purchase just 6 hours later.

very nice car, which color is the paint? From your Avatar, I thought you had a Jubilee purple or something similar.

The color reflects the surroundings so each time I take pictures it looks like a different color; the actual color is what I originally thought was seal gray is named"slate"I have been told, its a darker metalic gray.

parsecnc4, thanks! It took a while to find the undertray in used but still excellent condition. Honestly the rear rockguard sticker/guards just showed, I had to order them direct from Porsche.

Beautiful car, that is one of my favorite colors on a 964, looks even better on a wide body!

I too was thrown by the avatar picture. Slate Grey looks great on a narrow hipped car...but it looks stunning with Turbo fenders. I'll have to add that to my favorites list, right next to a Slate Grey Turbo 3.6.

BTW, the color code is easy to confirm. Just unsnap a few buttons on the trunk liner (right side, middle of the compartment) to see the tag. (example pic).
