Hawk's Friday post
well, the HD list (honey do list) is huge; my daughter's 5th birthday party is tomorrow. I'm busy putting hardware on drawers and cabinets, washing windows, and all that other fun stuff. So... I'm a bit late with my post.
Hoping to get wrench time, as the cab is still not road-worthy.
Picture gallery from my day at the air show last weekend, if you're interested stop by and take a look:

Nothing Porsche except driving them. I do need to take the cheap $1000 each headlights out of the 996tt and try to polish out the yellowing and pitting with some 2000 grit sandpaper. I hate plastic headlight lenses. I also need to get started on rebuilding my shower in the master bath. I replaced the valve and getting tired of looking at a plywood patch where the tile use to be. Again more than likely I wont do any of that

I got the news that Claudia is ready!!!! The trucker has been notified and I hope to post photos from here in Bugtussle and be driving within ten days.
This has been an involved build and the car should really be something.
I pray I'm worthy...
Happy Friday to all. Kai

My GF's condo sale closed today. Its been a difficult (stressful) day. The buyer didn't want to sign this morning. She claimed that she smelled gas in the basement. Both the home inspector nor the heating company who had been to the unit said it was ok. The buyer insisted this morning that the gas company come out to inspect. Fortunately our agent negotiated a deal where the buyer signed all the papers and we held $1500 in escrow pending the inspection. We will need to repair any faults. I'm convince the buyer is smelling the off gassing of the new carpet.
Anyway, Saturday, I will be wrenching in the garage, reassembling the GF's Honda Civic. I will be installing a new timing belt, alternator, belts and spark plugs. Should be straight forward.
Sunday am going to a choir concert that my friends are in.
JimQ - I agree with your comment about the plastic headlight lenses. I think the glass lenses are far superior.

6 weeks now...waiting for my rebuild to finish. Reminds me of that Tom Hanks movie "Money Pit" when the contractor is asked how long it will take to complete the construction...."2 weeks". Well, I was told 5 weeks and in both cases it never happened.
Gotta loves these Indy's and their warped time frame for completing jobs.
Have a good weekend folks.

I'm heading to Rob's bbq tomorrow and really looking forward to seeing all of the cars and meeting fellow rennlisters. I don't get to see many pcars around here; well, not up close any way.

No 964 this weekend, but did just do 1000km trip from Adelaide to phillip island in the wife's cayenne turbo. What an ICBM that thing is - and 13.3l/100km at a pretty constant 110km/h wasn't bad. Then on Monday we drive back :-)
