Default What is this for?

So i found this in the passenger footwell above the tube that supplies the passenger vent with air..

Where is its counterpart?

That looks just like the battery plugs I used to use for RC when I was a kid.

By the color code it is hot and ground...may be an aftermarket hookup for radar detector..

I doubt that is a Porsche connection. Can you trace the wires back wards?

I am putting in a 88 kneepad and just found the same connector, it went to the glove box light/switch.

Was the end just dangling like that?

I don't recall anything like that in my 69.

After I unplugged it the switch/light it looked the same as the photo.

Just happened to remove my lower dash today to work on some wiring and in my 92, it is a three prong connector for the gloxe box light
