Default Anyone ever use msd stuff on their car?

Just curious cause msd is a well respected brand and I have used there stuff on all my other cars. I was debating on putting some of there coils on the car? Anyone else tried this?

Well I kept trying to order some on pelican parts and they have been out of stock but I see MSD ones everywhere. I just ordered some bosch ones though off of Autohaus Az. They should be here tuesday. Hopefully the car will run a lil smoother

What kind of symptoms were you having? What led you to believe that the coils were failing?

Thanks.

It idles a lil rough. Could just be the aftermarket cam though. Also the car has 129,000 miles and its still got the original coils on it. Ive been slowly replacing things on it to help it run a lil better. Also if I get it on it real hard going through the gears it will flash all the warning lights for just a split second then they go away.

Search for "Christmas tree effect". You will find a lot about it. Its normally caused by the faults in high voltage side of the ignition. Replacing coils, wires, cap and rotor normally solves the problem. It did for me. My cab's coils were original at 210K miles when I replaced them.

RS and/or Supersport cams that have narrower lobe centers and more duration DO make a lopier idle,.......

What cams do you have in there???
