motul 300v oil impression

Recently changed out my 94 29k C2 coupe oil with this oil and am most impressed. Seems that the usual clatter and mechanical noises have decreased and I do not think it is my imagination. The engine seems to idle smoother and the oil pressure is mildly increased for any specific engine temp, at idle and warm 2.5 bar. As I have had many different 911s..75,79,80,84 and prior 92 and have changed many an oil in these cars with multigrade synthetics it just seems that this specific oil has impressive results compared to amsoil european 5/40 or what I was using before this with syntec 5/40; have even put 15-50 motul 300v in my 30k out of warranty 2001 M3 and have the same positive results to include slightly lower oil temp. Although the cost is higher than these others good oils I believe it is worth it....by the way I have no stock or interest in motul oil.

My concern is the limited driving in a year and the reported greater gas resistance of this 300v oil compared to the other listed...max driven 500-600 total miles per year. Change oil once a year no matter the miles which are limited and see the oil color of the prior oils so I was wanting something that would potentially work better. Will watch carefully but I sense that when I hear the usual mechanical noises which are very subdued now this may be a change time. The oil feel on the fingers is different but that is so so subjective...seems slippery more than other and less of a gas odor post drive compared to others with use.

I now use the motul 300v 5-40 in the porsche 964 and 15-50 motul 300v in my 2001 BMW M3 which just turned 30k(the reason for the 15-50 for the M3 instead of the 10-60 is that the oil seems to get "dirty" quicker with the recommended 10-60 and not impressed given the limited miles I put on it in a year...believe it too has an thinning effect with gas dilution which the motul 300v is more resistant to; given the environmental temp here did not want to go to the 20-60 300v....when I first got the M3 new the manual said 5-30 with the switch to 10-60 when they had engine problems later discovered to be manufacturing oil pump issues and inferior bearing in later 2001 production version...mine is a Feb 2001 engine with the good bearings/and the replaced bearing via tech recall on all M3s years ago)

Metal can, from France. Expensive but worth it IMHO.
