Just curious: why is this part so hard to find and valuable? Pics?

It is for the turbo bodied 964/965 cars that were already limited production.

Well - you ARE getting a free ride on my $$$.

There IS a school of thought that says you should pony up to get maximum support. For all the value you get out of this board - I cannot fathom someone not joining.

I hope that comment Jimq left was in jest but it did prompt me to take a look at the cost of being a paid member... $17 bucks, thats a great deal for all the help I have found on this forum!

And fyi... We'll send a confirmation email to XXXXXXXXXXXXX This transaction will appear on your statement as PayPal *RENNLIST.

I don't think a paid member is better than a user but I am hopeful that my payment will help allow more enthusiasts to keep these beautiful cars on the road.

There ya go - welcome aboard. ; )

I'm sure there are people who DO treat members better.

Its undeniable that "users' (I love the perjorative snarl of that term) with a lot of posts are actually freeloading on the backs of those of us who have paid (and for many years for some) and while I'm not militant about it - if I stop to think about it - it's a crappy thing to do. If you own a P-car - you've got a spare $17 to support this amazing forum.

I'm glad you've seen the light and will get on the "right side" of the fence on this matter. And to tie this back into this whole thread - it's the HONOURABLE thing to do! ; )

let's not start name calling. Some of us "users" try to give out just as much as we take in.

I'm sure that's true - but I just gotta ask - what's a "super user"?

Well - I find that a bit odd. "Contribute" is a curious term - I'm sure there's no vetting of one's contribution by Rennlist staff- so while it might appear that a high post count is helpful - they could all be one-liners and vague opinions.

And if that were the case - a "super user" is really just a storage and bandwidth hog. Not saying this is YOU Hawk - I'm just noting that post count is not a useful metric in value of contribution and therefore - IMHO - not a valid replacement for ponying up the less than $20 to pay one's way.

But maybe there's another way to see this? My mind is open.

Ya know - you have a point - there SHOULD be some recognition of your post count - and I get that you've lost a badge of "honour" by signing up. Kinda bummed for you over that, actually. But frankly - I think it shows HUGE class that you signed up! VERY cool move IMHO!

Let's all have a heartfelt round of applause for Hawk! Yahooo!!!
