Great looking car (even without engine). I would advice to take all glass out and have the rims treated if there is rust under the rubber seals.
Try to get a 993 engine ( hydraulic valves ) and better air intake system.
Congrats !

Default Pics for update

Here are some pics from today excuse the poor quality on some I had to take from outside the booth I didnt have a paint suit and didnt want to mess anything up. Afterwards I was able to get a few shots inside the oven. I love the way it shines and just looks wet. Let me know what you guys think so far.

windblown: Im glad you like.

rarebear: thank you.

never having done a respray, forgive my ignorance. Shouldn't they take the doors off for a more complete spray?

Its all a matter of preferance from what I have seen. All the panels where removed so the only thing there is the hinge to hold the door. This guy is really good I looked between the doors and all he is doing a great job. The doors where opened all the way. Also keep in mind this will be a street car maybe one or two DE events along the way not a concorse or show car. Plus I am not a paint or body man I just know when I saw it that it looks really great. But I will look into it.

Sometimes you do more damage to the finish reinstalling/aligning the doors so they are best left on

Like I said, not having done one. As long as it looks good, and you are happy with it!

Default Thanks guys

Silvertarga: Thanks for some clarification as to a reason for the doors.

hawk911: I will try and see what reasons people do not remove the doors for. But silvertarga seems to have a pretty good answer. I am extremely happy the way it is turning out the work and effort they put into getting this car right in my eyes is priceless. It is also a new type of paint they are working with that is guaranteed. I will be getting more details on that as well. They say it is guaranteed as long as I own it which sounds great to me but im sure its not against like rock chips from driving. When I get the details I will keep you guys posted. Hey you never know it might be something you are interested in doing one day. Thanks for the imput guys keep it coming whether its LIKES or DISLIKES I want to see what your guys thoughts are Im always open for constructive critisism if thats what it takes .

yes very easy two pins then unplug the harness then you have a pererct door jam.. . Some one that does not know Porsche that well could be a bitch, the door wire harness is way up there And sucks to get it apart.. if It is black you can get away with the doors off.. if it was a silver and you paint the doors off the car, The color would not match .. everything has its pro and cons... how much for the respray ?? how many dings any body work??

tim911pcar: Thank you post #30 shows most of the repairs and a final bill has not been created yet. Soon it will be and I will post everything. I know its in the thousands but when I saw her it is well worth it. Why are you cjanging your cab to black? wouldnt it be easier to go with that green color? It has that race car look. Very nice keep us updated with pics.

I missed the whole page 2.. section. It was late and had a couple beers in me.. This is a great build, fast too. The green is the wrong color.. Was going to be signal green but my paint rep messed up.. It is to light. It was green for a year, also if I ever sold it I would lose alot of buyers being the green goblin.. Black is awsome when it is clean!! I am going to have fun with it with some red accents.. 911jetta that is funny I thought that was my lil idea on the taillights mix alilltle red in the clear spray them and no more pink taillights. good stuff. the 95 motor does not have drive block alarm does it.. Heard that is a bitch of a conversion..

My 95 does not have the drive block but some 95 motors do if its an earlyer one it would not have it but the latter ones do. Im sure it will not be easy but from what I am told it is well worth it when its done. I have been getting tons of advice and helpfull tips so between that and my mechanic I am sure we will get it done. Hope you guys like the thread so far.
