Default How to install new exhaust?

I recently picked up a g-pipe and a fabspeed euro premuffler, I was on my way to autozone now to pick up new exhaust gaskets and was wondering if I need to pick anything up?

This may not be the easiest question to answer and it may frighten some but how exactly do I install these pieces?

I've heard I might need new exhaust gaskets, and some exhaust grease (no idea what that is).

Welcome, Idiot.

Fabspeed has posted installation instructions on their website (it's a downloadable .pdf file) for both the premuffler and the secondary muffler bypass (a.k.a. g-pipe).

Don't know about the need for a gasket on the catalytic side of the primary muffler, but none needed for the g-pipe side. I also doubt you would find what is needed at autozone. No grease that I'm aware of.

As for instructions - look at the exhaust and start unbolting...start at the exhause tip and work backwards. Not hard or complicated, just pay attention. There are 'biscuits' between each of the exhaust components that may stick to one muffler or the other, but are needed to seal the seam.

Good luck and good project to start with.

The only thing you need from autozone is a can of WD40...

Fabspeed instructions are good ones, if your exhaust has never been off the above advise is very good, keep us posted...

Well that looks easy except I don't have a torque wrench or an impact gun :[
Oops read the wrong one.
