Burning Brakes
Here's a video from Ian in his Alpina B3. It features a few of our 964s, including Tom facing the wrong way!

I don't know if any of you know the benefits from surveying a corner from a different angle but there are many. For that reason only I decided to do a pirouet to fully appreciate the intricacies of the corner in question which is why you may have caught a glace or me the "wrong way".
Boxsey if you want I will teach you the skill and methodology behind such a manouver next time I am on the track, for it is certain to happen again!!

I've put the link on BoXa where it's getting a big thumbs up from the other lads that were there.
One asked (the owner of the cup car) what equipment you use to get that quality of video?

Bedford Autodrome, Saturday 13th August 2011
Myself and Jamest attended this one along with a few of my track day friends which include cars such as a 997GT3 and Ford Sierra Cosworth.
The day started wet which meant that laps were slow but entertaining none the less. By late morning it was dry so we could get on our best pace. Bedford is very long (3.8 miles) and takes a while to learn. It has some long straights where I could just nudge 130 mph (my mate's GT3 hit 145 mph) and some very tight turns. There is lots of run off so it's a great place to push the limits of the car compared to other tracks.
Our two 964s ran beautifully all day. The only hitch was James' gearbox undertray that gave way and had to be removed...another one bites the dust
Pics from the day:

A lot of the day was spent playing tag around the track with my buddy in his Sierra Cosworth. This is me following him:
This is when I take the lead. It's noticeable that this time we're a fair bit quicker (up to 6 seconds a lap) and he's having to try a lot harder to keep up
All in all a very entertaining day that was topped off with a BBQ and many, many beers afterwards back at Tony's (GT3) place

Latest Trackday - Oulton Park - 24th August 2011
There was a nice little gathering of us for this one - myself, two 964RSs, a 993C4 and a brand new Cayman R. Plus a wide range of other Porsches (see pics below).
An excellent day all round with the C2 going without a hitch yet again. I'm sure it loves going on track as much as I do .
The morning was dry and the track in perfect condition. A joy and adrenaline rush to drive as always. The afternoon saw constant rain showers and therefore attention and respect was demanded to ensure nothing nasty happened. Although, I did nearly get caught out once: I locked up all four going in to Lodge...the ABS was noticeable by its absence...so decided on the 'if in doubt turn it in' approach but even though I had an armful of lock on, the car carried straight on...quite a surreal sensation...then by instinct (or probably luck) I eased off the brakes...suddenly she gripped...and we went round Lodge as if nothing had happened!
First some paddock pics and then video at the bottom.
Pics of our little trackday group:
Ninemeister (Colin and Marc) were there supporting a couple of their customers that had bought their beasts to the track:
And there were a few other Porsche trackday regulars there too:
Here's in car video of me chasing my two 964RS buddies in the morning:
and here's a slightly longer one of me driving the last session of the day after it had dried up a bit:
