Apart from enjoying lots of track time the memorable moments of the day for me were; rounding coppice to find a 964 in the middle of the track pointing the wrong way (Tom), a 964C4 going off the track at Mcleans and doing some dirt tracking (Frank), Sifly's track prepped Golf GTI buzzing us all throughout the day and then doing a nice 180 while I was in the passenger seat, Talat pottering round in and old tail happy 3 series touring (while he waits for his 964 to be finished), meeting Andrew Churcher for the first time who must be the biggest aussie bloke ever to fit in a 964 and David (Dekker) cruising round, roof down without a care in the world, doing a royal wave type of thing as we overtook him.

Endurance medal for the weekend has to go to Frank who suffered a number of breakdowns both travelling up the night before and on the day (starter motor, puncture, fuel leak) but refused to be beaten and managed to get to the end of the day. Well done Frank for keeping the faith.

Cheers Steve and thanks again to all that helped! Agreed Andrew must be the biggest Aussie to fit in a 964! Hope to see you at the next London meet Andrew!

Thanks again Steve for a great day.

Most of my video was spoiled by sun glare but here's a couple of laps where the view out of the window is reasonable:

Good pics Andrew.

And just a reminder to anyone that fancies another day out soon that a bunch of us (many of those that you met at Donny) are going to Bedford Autodrome on Saturday 13th August

I think bedford could be a goer. I think we need to register on boxa.net to get the details.

No need to register on BoXa (but you're welcome to if you want). Just ring the Motorsport vision office on 01474 875218 and quote BoXa.net when booking the day (Saturday 13th August). This will give you a 10% discount off the standard price of £199.

And if you're in no rush to get away afterwards, Tony (white GT3) is doing a BBQ for us afterwards.

Jamest has already booked his 964 on.

Here's a video from Ian in his Alpina B3. It features a few of our 964s, including Tom facing the wrong way!

I don't know if any of you know the benefits from surveying a corner from a different angle but there are many. For that reason only I decided to do a pirouet to fully appreciate the intricacies of the corner in question which is why you may have caught a glace or me the "wrong way".
Boxsey if you want I will teach you the skill and methodology behind such a manouver next time I am on the track, for it is certain to happen again!!
