Default Poll - How are you getting a floor jack under your lowered 964?

I just finished installing my EVO uprights (among other upgrades) and will need to address the issue of getting a jack under the car for future service work. I thought rather than recreate the wheel and develop some sort of minor ramp system (to raise the car up to get a floor jack under it)...that I would take a poll and see how others addressed this issue. If you are using a low access floor jack...let me know what make and models are working. I only have ceiling height in part of the garage for a lift, so this is unfortunately not an option. Please post pictures as this will help me duplicate the solution. I know there are some innovative ideas out there. Thank you in advance.

I'm not a Porsche owner yet, but when I do join the club, I believe my current jack should be up to the task of getting under a lowered Porsche.

I picked it up at Northern Tool awhile back.

I just got an American Forge 200T for Christmas. With 2.75" start height, it should fit under nearly anything. It can be found at around $200, I picked mine up at Summit Racing here in Ohio so I wouldn't have to pay shipping. They have their own part number which is SUM-G1020. This is a good jack, solid steel, so you won't have to worry about anyone stealing it easily, very heavy! I needed this after lowering my car this year as well. Highly recommended for the price, it has great reviews, unlike some of the jacks out there. Do your research, many are known to fail suddenly, or only last a few years!

You guys spend thousands and thousands on your cars, yet won't spend a few hundred for the proper tools? Come on, show your car some love!

I have a neighbor that has a series of planks and 2x4's nailed together that he would drive the front wheel (just one side!)of his minivan up onto so he could crawl under the front end to change the oil! After seeing this and offering to lend my jack, jackstands to do it safely his wife came out and said "that's the way he does things, he's Polish"! (he really is) I think I at least embarrassed him enough that he doesn't do it anymore. Oh well.

Just put a couple of slabs of wood down and drive onto them to raise the car enough for a normal trolley jack, it only needs to be 2x 30mm pieces of wood staggered, and save the money for something important on the car

Use a winch from the ceiling and just take a hook (preferably a sharp, rusty one) and just hook it to the tow hook. Voila!

This one, sells under many brands, works for me and my car is set as a Cup. No wood logs or anything.

I bought mine in Ireland for Eu380. That's not a good reference for you.
